Week 7
After a fun yet disappointing week before, I am entering my seventh week,
which should be my last week, which makes me excited and nervous. The days I am working will be June 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th. I am nervous because I do not know if I am going to get all the
hours that I need. I need 48 hours to complete my internship but I am only
working four days this week and I do not think I am going to get all the hours
done. I am excited because three of the days I will be watching basketball at
another high school boy’s shoot-out. This week will be fun but it will be a bit
stressful to start off, in any case I am ready to get this week done and see
where my hours are and regardless of how many I have left I can still see the
light at the end of the tunnel.

So my week started Wednesday the 27th and it was my job to
prep for the shoot-out. Prep consisted of getting all the folders ready for the
teams of the shoot-out and to set up the three locations that we would be using
for the shoot-out. The week before I did not have to worry about set up because
Coach Hill’s graduate assistant J.M. took care of everything but he was going to
be out of town and the responsibility was given to me. With three days of the
shoot-out I knew I was going to get a good chunk of my hours done, which I was
glad for and with already doing the a shoot-out the week before I somewhat knew
what to expect. The coaches decided to put me at St. Mary’s gym location. My job
was simple and that was to make sure everything ran smoothly. Once again I had
the front table to take admission and sell snacks and t-shirts, but I also ran
score board and made sure games started when they were supposed to start. This
was a good week I recorded 32 hours this week, which was the most of any of any
of the previous weeks. There is one big problem though I am still 16 hours short
and Coach Hill and I had planned to have my internship finished by the
30th. Coach Hill is going on vacation the first of July and I am
going on vacation the second week of July, so I am supposed to meet with Coach
Hill on July 17thand figure out when I am going to finish the final
16 hours.
